Magnetic Toe
Toddler skinned off piece of big toe.?
My little girl was playing with some magnets and somehow sliced the side of her big toe on the magnetic board. I didn’t know it at the time, she stopped crying but my husband noticed I had blood on me and he had it on his shirt so we looked her over and noticed her big toe was bleeding. I took her to the bathroom and ran water over her foot to see where she was hurt and I saw on the side of her big toe a piece of skin had been skinned off. I put pressure on it with a towel, then I applied some antibiotic cream and a band-aid, the bleeding seemed to stop after 4 or 5 minutes and there was just a little blood on the band-aid when I changed it out. Does this sound like I did everything correctly? It’s late now and she’s sleeping, and I’ll most likely call a nurse in the morning just to see what they say but I wanted some other parent’s opinions if anything like this has happened to their kids. Thanks.
Sounds like you did pretty good to me! For the most part they can’t do much with a foot anyway just make sure to keep it clean put that antibiotic cream on it and let it get some air once in awhile. It will take of it’s self.
